Their Matters

North Carolina

North Carolina is first. It is not open.

We are not taking cases in North Carolina yet. This page is here so you can see where we intend to start, and so we do not pretend a state is open when the rulepack for it is still a draft.

We are not taking cases yet. Arizona and North Carolina are first. We will not open in a state until a lawyer licensed there has reviewed a complete filing packet we produced, because the alternative is finding out we were wrong using somebody’s actual estate. Ask us to write when that changes.

Why North Carolina is early

A lawyer licensed in North Carolina will review a complete packet we produced before anyone's estate goes through this system. Until that happens, there is nothing to buy.

We do not publish filing fees, small-estate dollar thresholds, or county processing times on this site until a named person has verified them against the current statute and the clerk. A wrong number on a public page is how families miss a deadline.
