Funeral homes
You are the first professional they talk to.
Often within a day. They ask what happens next, and the honest answer is a year of institutions that each want a death certificate. You should not have to become their probate clerk, and you should not send them to a website that hands the work back.
We give you a one-page handout with a name and a number. The family calls us. You have done the useful thing, and you are done.
We are not taking cases yet. Arizona and North Carolina are first. We will not open in a state until a lawyer licensed there has reviewed a complete filing packet we produced, because the alternative is finding out we were wrong using somebody’s actual estate. Ask us to write when that changes.
A page, not a pitch
One sheet. What to do this week, what can wait, and who to call. It has our name on it and yours, if you want that.
A flat fee to the home
Paid by us, for the introduction, the same amount whether the estate is small or not. No percentage of the funeral bill and no percentage of the estate.
We will not sell the family anything else
No preneed, no insurance, no vault upgrade. Estate administration. That is the list.
Referral arrangements in this industry are regulated, including by the FTC Funeral Rule and by state anti-kickback rules. We will not sign a home until counsel has written down what that state allows. If your state forbids a fee, there will not be one.
